1979-08-10 Matjaž Perc, born in Maribor, Slovenia. Back then it was actually Yugoslavia.
1986-09-01 to 1994-06-30 Attended primary school, which was then named after Veljko Vlahović but today it honors Leon Štukelj.
1994-09-01 to 1998-06-30 Attended high school Gimnazija in srednja kemijska šola Ruše.
1997-10-05 Finished third at the U18 National Championships in the Mountain Bike Uphill race. I was very serious about cycling between 1994 and 2001. I still ride every day and attend amateur races. My resting pulse is 34, the maximal is 193.
1998-07-27 Finished high school education with a Matura.
1998-10-01 to 2002-06-28 Attended the undergraduate physics course at the Faculty of Education, University of Maribor.
2002-06-19 Finished the undergraduate course summa cum laude with a Physics Diploma.

Since the University of Maribor doesn't have funding available for researchers, one can, as a young PhD without external funding, either hope for a teaching position to open up or enter the job market.
